I came across an old photograph with the note “Lavender Field, France” scribbled on the back. Even without the location I would have known in an instant that it was France. The French countryside has an unmistakable look. I think it is a bit surreal and always rich in color. The stone building against the lush lavender flowers provides a mix of texture and light. Peaceful, quiet and removed from the stress of the city, the Lavender Field provides the perfect escape….if only for a moment.
