    Directly across the road from the Monastery in Carmel is a field leading to the ocean. This old barn, nestled in the field, has seen many cold, gray, winter days but on this particular day in spring the field was alive with yellow wild flowers. I knew this was the way I wanted to remember one of my favorite places.
